Την Τετάρτη 14/7/2021 διεξήχθη στα Λεύκαρα σε συνεργασία με τις τοπικές αρχές με μεγάλη επιτυχία ο πρώτος αγώνας Lefkara Vertical Challenge.
Διοργανωτές, δρομείς, εθελοντές και θεατές επέστρεψαν δέκα μέρες μετά την υποχρεωτική αναβολή του αγώνα λίγο πριν την εκκίνηση, λόγω της καταστροφικής πυρκαγιάς που έπληξε την περιοχή στης 3/7/2021, μέρα που ήταν προγραμματισμένος ο Αγώνας.
Μια ξεχωριστή ανηφορική ασφάλτινη διαδρομή (κυριολεκτικά δεν έχει ούτε μέτρο ευθεία) και ένας αγώνας που παρόμοιος του δεν έχει ξανά διοργανωθεί στη Κύπρο.
Τέσσερα χιλιόμετρα με 450μ θετική υψομετρική διάφορα.
Από την αρχή ξεχώρισε ένα γκρουπ αποτελούμενο από τους Φύτος Λεμονάρη, Χριστόφορο Πρωτόπαπα, Ανδρέα Γαλίδη, Όσκαρ Σόζα, Γιώργο Φάττα και Μιχάλη Φιλίππου ενώ τη γραμμή του τερματισμού κατάφερε να πέρασε πρώτος ο Φύτος Λεμονάρης, με δεύτερο τον Χριστόφορο Πρωτόπαπα και τρίτο το νεαρό Ανδρέα Γαλίδη.
Στις γυναίκες πρωτεύσαν οι Γιάννα Φυσένζου, με δεύτερη την Έλενα Στυλιανού και τρίτη την Λουΐζα Τσιανάκκα.
Tech Partner του αγώνα είναι η Samsung, χορηγός η Ice Power, υποστηρικτές η ACS courier, το κατάστημα Get Out, το βιταμινούχο νερό Viwa και η Μπύρα Saku τους οποίους ευχαριστούμε πολύ.

The first race Lefkara Vertical Challenge was held with great success
On Wednesday 14/7/2021 the first race Lefkara Vertical Challenge was held in Lefkara in collaboration with the local authorities with great success.
Organizers, runners, volunteers, and spectators returned ten days after the mandatory postponement of the race shortly before its start, due to the catastrophic fire that hit the area on 3/7/2021, the day which the Race was initially scheduled.
A unique uphill asphalt route (literally there is not even a meter of straight road) and a race similar to which has never been organized in Cyprus before.
Four kilometers with 450m positive altitude difference.
From the beginning, a group consisting of Phytos Lemonaris, Christoforos Protopapas, Andrea Galidi, Oscar Soza, Giorgos Fatta, and Michalis Philippou stood out, while Phytos Lemonaris managed to cross the finish line first, followed by Christoforos Protoparos and Andreas Galidis in the second and third places respectively.
In the women’s category, Gianna Fysenzou crossed the finish line first, followed by Elena Stylianou and Louiza Tsianakka in the second and third places respectively.
