Ολοκληρώθηκε το Σαββατοκύριακο (23-24/3/2024) ο Αγώνας Lefkara Country Run and
Vertical Challenge. Ένα μοναδικο διήμερο γεμάτο τρέξιμο.
Δύο αγώνες σε ένα Σαββατοκύριακο δημιουργώντας ένα challenge, δίνοντας στους
δρομείς που επιθυμούσαν την επιλογή να τρέξουν και τις δύο ημέρες (Vertical και 13
χιλιόμετρα ή Vertical και 23 χιλιόμετρα), με επιπλέον κίνητρο να τους περιμένει στον
τερματισμό μια finisher φανέλα, ειδικά σχεδιασμένη για τη διοργάνωση.
Οι συμμετοχές είχαν ξεπεράσει τις προσδοκίες φτάνοντας τις τετρακόσιες είκοσι, ενώ
από αυτούς, ογδόντα πεντε δρομείς έτρεξαν και τις δύο ημέρες.
Τα Λεύκαρα, που είναι έτσι και αλλιώς ένας υπέροχος και προσφιλής προορισμός για τα
Σαββατοκύριακα, γέμισαν με δρομείς, δημιουργώντας μια πολύ ευχάριστη ατμόσφαιρα.
Το Διήμερο δρομικό φεστιβάλ ξεκίνησε το απόγευμα του Σαββάτου 23/3 με έναν
ιδιαίτερα απαιτητικό αγώνα, αφού πάρα τη σχετικά μικρή απόσταση (4 χιλιόμετρων) έχει
συνολική θετική υψομετρική διαφορά 450 μέτρα (ούτε μέτρο ευθεία, μόνο ανήφορο).
Νικητής στο Vertical challenge ο Φύτος Λεμονάρης, επιτυγχάνοντας ρεκόρ διαδρομής
με χρόνο 00:21:02.
Στις γυναίκες πρώτη τερμάτισε η Stennard Carolyn, με χρόνο 00:32:05.

Την Κυριακή 24/3 είχαμε τους αγώνες Country Run 13 και 23 χιλιόμετρα.
Στον Αγώνα των 13 χιλιομέτρων είχαμε νικητή και πάλι τον Φύτο Λεμονάρη,
επιτυγχάνοντας ρεκόρ διαδρομής με χρόνο 00:54:51, καταρίπτοντας το δικό του ρεκόρ,
που κατείχε από την πρώτη διοργανωση το 2021.
Στις γυναίκες πρώτη τερμάτισε η Χριστίνα Χιώτη, με χρόνο 01:10:04.
Στον Αγώνα των 23 χιλιoμέτρων είχαμε νικητή και τον Danylo Sapunov με χρόνο
01:44:48, ενώ στις γυναίκες πρώτη τερμάτισε η Γιάννα Φυσέντζου με χρόνο 02:17:21.

4 th Race “Lefkara Country Run and Vertical Challenge”
The Lefkara Country Run and Vertical Challenge was completed over the weekend (23-
24/3/2024). Two unique days full of running.
Two races in one weekend creating a challenge, giving the runners who wanted the
option to run both days (Vertical and 13 kilometers or Vertical and 23 kilometers), with
the extra incentive of having a finisher T-shirt waiting for them at the finish line, specially
designed for the race.
Slots exceeded expectations reaching four hundred and twenty, and of these, eighty-
five runners ran on both days.
Lefkara, which is anyway a great and popular weekend destination, was filled with
runners, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.
The two-day running festival started on the afternoon of Saturday 23/3 with a
particularly demanding race, since despite the relatively short distance (4 kilometers) it
has a total positive altitude difference of 450 meters (not even a meter straight, only
uphill).
The winner of the Vertical challenge is Fytos Lemonaris, achieving a course record with
a time of 00:21:02.
Among the women, Stennard Carolyn finished first, with a time of 00:32:05.

On Sunday 24/3 we had the Country Run 13 and 23 km races.
In the 13 km Race we had Phytos Lemonaris as the winner again, achieving a course
record with a time of 00:54:51, breaking his own record, which he held since the first
race in 2021.
Among the women, Christina Chioti finished first, with a time of 01:10:04.
In the 23 km Race we also had Danylo Sapunov as a winner with a time of 01:44:48,
while in the women's category, Yianna Fysentzou finished first with a time of 02:17:21.
