Διεξήχθη στα Λεύκαρα το Σάββατο 14/5/22 σε συνεργασία με τις τοπικές αρχές ο δεύτερος αγώνας Lefkara Vertical Challenge.
Διοργανωτές, δρομείς, εθελοντές θεατές και χορηγοί όλοι μαζί συνέβαλαν σε μια ομολογουμένως επιτυχημένη διοργάνωση.
Μια ξεχωριστή ανηφορική ασφάλτινη διαδρομή, ένας αγώνας που παρόμοιος του δεν έχει ξανά διοργανωθεί στη Κύπρο.
Τέσσερα χιλιόμετρα με 450μ θετική υψομετρική διάφορα.
Νικητές της φετινής διοργάνωσης , στους άνδρες ο Ρώσος Vladimir Shcheblykin με χρόνο 21:32 που αποτελεί ρεκόρ διαδρομής, δεύτερος για δεύτερη συνεχή χρόνια ο Χριστόφορος Πρωτοπαπάς και τρίτος ο περσινός νικητής του αγώνα Φύτος Λεμονάρης.
Στις γυναίκες πρωτεύσαν οι Λουΐζα Τσιανάκκα αφήνοντας στη δεύτερη θέση τη περσινή νικήτρια Γιάννα Φυσένζου, και τρίτη την Mona Helen Leonidou.
Ευχαριστούμε όλους όσους συνέβαλαν στην επιτυχία της διοργάνωσης.

The second Lefkara Vertical Challenge race was held with great success
On Saturday 14/5/22 the second Lefkara Vertical Challenge race was held in Lefkara in collaboration with the local authorities.
Organisers, runners, volunteer spectators, and sponsors all together contributed to an admittedly successful event.
A special uphill asphalt route, a race similar to it has never been organized in Cyprus.
Four kilometers with 450m positive altitude difference.
The winners of this year’s event in the men’s category were, in the first place the Russian Vladimir Shcheblykin with a time of 21:32 which is a route record, in the second place, for the second consecutive year Christoforos Protopapas and in the third place, last year’s winner of the race Fytos Lemonaris.
In the women’s category, Louiza Tsianakka finished first, leaving last year’s winner Yianna Fysentzou in second place, and Mona Helen Leonidou in third place.
